Questions, answered.

The short version of everything: how BuyBaseCards works. The guarantees: buyer protection. Everything else is below.

Buying

›Do I need an account to browse?

No — every listing, seller shop, and set checklist is public. You need an account (email or Google) only when you add to cart, buy, make an offer, or save a watchlist.

›How do carts and checkout work?

Your cart groups by seller. Each seller-order is one payment, one combined shipping charge, and one envelope. Orders have a $5.00 per-seller minimum and a flat $0.99 order fee. Payment is handled by Stripe — your card number never touches our servers.

›Why can't I check out under the minimum?

Payment processors charge fixed per-transaction costs, so tiny orders lose money for everyone. Add another card from the same seller to reach the $5.00 minimum — shipping is combined, so it's usually cheaper per card anyway.

Offers

›How do offers work?

Listings marked "or best offer" accept offers below the asking price (minimum $5.00, our order minimum). You can have one open offer per listing. The seller can accept, decline, or counter, and offers expire after 48 hours. Manage everything under Dashboard → Offers.

›The seller countered — what now?

You'll see the counter in Dashboard → Offers. Accept it to go straight to checkout at the countered price, or let it expire.

Shipping & tracking

›How is shipping calculated?

Each seller sets a base rate that covers the envelope plus a small per-card increment for each extra card. Buy five cards from one seller and you pay one combined charge — not five.

›Where's my tracking number?

When the seller ships, you get an email and the tracking number appears on the order in Dashboard → Purchases as a clickable carrier link. When the cards arrive, hit “I received it” and leave a review.

Selling & payouts

›How do I start selling?

Create an account, then head to Sell and connect a payout account through Stripe (legal name, DOB, and bank details — Stripe verifies your identity; we never see those details). Once payouts are enabled you can list immediately.

›What are the ways to list cards?

Three: the listing wizard for one card at a time (up to 8 photos, graded slabs supported), set-checklist mass listing where you tick the cards you own and price them in bulk (no photos needed — stock images cover you), and spreadsheet import for up to 200 rows at once.

›How do I edit photos after listing?

Open the listing from Dashboard → My listings → Edit. You can add and delete photos, pick which one is the cover, rotate, and crop.

›When do I get paid?

Payouts land in your bank account every Friday via Stripe. You keep 93.5% of every sale, and a $2.00/month account fee is deducted from your first sale each calendar month — months with no sales are free.

Fees at a glance

›What does BuyBaseCards charge?

Buyers: a flat $0.99 order fee per seller-order, with a $5.00 order minimum. Shipping goes to the seller, not us.
Sellers: a flat 6.5% commission on the item price (never on shipping) and $2.00/month taken from the first sale of each month. No listing fees, no store fees, free spreadsheet import.

Problems & refunds

›My cards never arrived / aren't as described

Hit “Report a problem” on the order in Dashboard → Purchases within 3 days of receiving the cards — or, if they never arrive, anytime within 60 days of purchase. The seller is notified immediately and can reship, credit, or refund in one click. If it isn't resolved in 4 days, escalate to us and a human reviews it — if you're right, you get a full refund including shipping and the order fee. Read the full policy.

›How do reviews work?

After an order ships, the buyer can leave a 1–5 star rating with a comment. Reviews show on the seller's public shop with their average rating, and sellers can post one public response per review.

Account

›I forgot my password

Use forgot password and we'll email you a reset link. If you signed up with Google, just keep using the Google button.

›Do I get a public shop page?

Every seller does: /shop/your-username shows your active cards with shareable category filters, your reviews, and any collections you've curated (named groups of listings, managed under Dashboard → Collections).

Still stuck? Report order problems from the order itself in Dashboard → Purchases — that opens a message thread with the seller that we can step into.
